Prior to January 2011 I spent more than 20 years in the local, regional and national media, ending up in Northcliffe Media, the regional publishing arm of the Daily Mail and General Trust, where I was Digital Publishing Director. Previously, I had been Content Strategy Director and had played a central role in creating, shaping and then managing Northcliffe’s online operation since mid-1998. In January 2012 I will begin lecturing in Digital Journalism at the University of Gloucestershire.
